Oct 15, 2026 Meeting
Brad Wilson opened the meeting by leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance. He then welcomed our guests: Jordan Michaud, Linda Euto, and Corri Ferris (all potential new members).
Announcements:
- Next Meeting: Our next regular meeting will be on October 29th at The Sherwood with a speaker from Baltimore Woods. No meeting on October 22nd.
Happy Dollars: Bill B passed the Happy Dollar tray. World Polio Day is this coming week. Keeping in tradition, Happy Dollars from the meeting will be sent to Rotary International in support of the Polio Plus initiative. Bill also let us know that the club goals for Rotary Foundation giving are $6500 for the general fund and $2000 for Polio Plus.
Club Business: A number of issues were covered as follows:
- Club officials are needed. The Board has one vacant seat. Meetings are held every other month with an occasional extra meeting now and then. Also, the President Elect position is open. This person would serve as club president for the Rotary year beginning July 1, 2027. If you would like to fill one of these positions, please contact Brad.
- Spring 2027 is our club's 100th anniversary. Larry Jerome is heading up the planning committee. If you have ideas or would like to participate, please contact Larry, Jay or Brad.
- Holiday Basket Dinner will be held on Thursday Dec 10th. Marv will head the planning committee. It's not too early to begin inviting family, friends, neighbors and prospective new members. Also, please consider soliciting or donating an item for the Silent Auction.
- Brad spoke about new member recruitment. If you have a friend, neighbor or business associate invite them to a meeting or Happy Hour so they can see what Rotary is all about.
- Service Projects - Corey Bauman is our Service Project Coordinator. if you have an idea let her know. In the meantime, the tree planting project was Saturday, Oct 17th and the SPCA food drive is Saturday Oct 24th.
The meeting closed with the Four (Five) Way Test.
