Sept, 2026 Meeting
Brad Wilson opened the meeting by leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance. He then welcomed our guests: Linda Wilson (Brad's Mom), Pamela Speach and Sister Collette (our speakers from Francis House).
Announcements:
- Next Happy Hour: September 10th at The Legion. CNY Rotary President Pamela Baker Gratton, Colleen Weibel and other club members from our District are invited.
- Next Meeting: Our next regular meeting will be on September 17th at The Sherwood.
Our Speakers: Rosemary, a dedicated volunteer at Francis House, introduced our speakers Pamela Speach and Sister Collette. Sister Collette told us of the founding of Francis House in 1991 and its core mission to "make sure people will not die alone". Francis House is non-denominational and provides a home and extended family to persons with terminal illnesses so they can die with dignity and comfort. Francis House is staffed primarily by volunteers and does not receive any government funds. Pamela told us about the upcoming fundraiser on October 14th. "No Place Like Home" will celebrate 30 years at the Horticulture Building at the NYS Fairgrounds from 5:30 to 8:30. Please consider attending.
