The Rotary Foundation - Co-Pres. Mary announced the YTD Rotary Foundation giving numbers and encourage members, who have not yet participated, to do so, as she would like to see 100% of the membership contribute to good works of the Rotary Foundation. Contact Bill Buterbaugh with you contributions.
We have met and exceeded both our Annual Giving (AG) and PolioPlus (PP) goals by 133% and 462%. respectively. That's $6,800 AG and $9,245 PP for a Total of $16,047 as of 12/31/19. With the 2 for 1 Gates Foundation match, that amounts to $27,738 for Polio Eradication.

Jim McQuiggan departs - Announced that he was resigning from SRC, as they have purchased and moving to a home in Watkins Glen. As one of our more active members, he will be missed by our members and for his leadership.
Program: 2020 Annual SRC Meeting & Elections. - The 2020 Officers and 2020-22 Directors were elected at this meeting. (see the election results notice below)

WINTERFEST - A Taste of Skaneateles
11:30 AM - 2:30 PM - Buy a Taste Pass on site good at 20+ taste providers. Non-profit fundraiser - all food provided by local restaurants/vendors (Tickets: $15 Single, $25 Couple, $30 Immediate Family)
12:30 PM - Polar Bear Plunge near Gazebo - Non-profit fundraiser for First Responders and Education 12:30 -2:30 - Kid activities at United Methodist Church - Including Baltimore Woods program and Syracuse Zoo mascot 1:00 PM - Ice Carving Demo near Gazebo (also see ~ 20 other beautiful ice sculptures scattered through downtown and outskirts) Scavanger Hunt: Free - Pick up a "mystery phrase" sheet downtown during the Saturday event. Follow instructions and get phrase letter clues at dozens of merchants. Hand in completed sheets at designated locations by the following Monday, All correctly solved puzzles will be entered in a drawing to win great prizes!
SUPER SATURDAY
Club Leadership Training & Information
On February 8th, District 7150 is hosting a "Super Saturday" event at VVS High School. The event will include training sessions for all Rotarians and Pre-PETS for our incoming club presidents. Breakfast will be offered free of charge from 7:30 to 8:30 followed by the training beginning at 8:30. I encourage you to plan to attend at least part of the event so that the attendees can become familiar with each of you and realize the resource that is available through your knowledge and expertise.

Enjoy an evening of fellowship with Rotarians from around the district. There will be a silent auction to support The Foundation and Rotary Foundation awards from 2018-2019 will be awarded.

The SRC BOD met Jan 9th, 2020 and following are the summary notes of that meeting.
Minutes of the December meeting - were review and approved (these can be accessed on our website)
SA Bell - Results of the SA Bell Ringing were shared ($1979.89). Thanks to all that participated
Worthy Cause - No proposals placed before the Board
Financials - Club Skaneateles Foundation financials reviewed, which showed that we are in good stead for the year.
Proceeds of the Annual Christmas Fundraiser - of $13,200 were distributed to CNY Community Foundation, Skaneateles & Spafford Food Pantries, and Skaneateles Outreach.
Service Projects
January - SSRC's Winterfest. Our members will be participating as volunteers.
February - BSA Klondike Derby We will be preparing lunch for the event
3 Month meeting and project schedule - reviewed by Bill Buterbaugh. (see web speaker-listing for details)
Membership - Jim McQuiggan has resigned as they are moving to their new home in Watkin Glen. Tim Donovan was removed from the club membership.
Slate of 2020-21 officers and BOD's- approved for election a our Annul Meeting.
District Grant - Dale Drake will plan an multi-club grant to support a Baltimore Woods project.
Rotary Foundation Giving to date - was reviewed and results were shared with the club membership via the newsletter.
Paul Harris Fellowship presentations - are to be made on Jan. 30th
