PRESIDENT'S CORNER ... by Prez Bill
Greetings Skantarians! This week we enjoyed an excellent presentation by Carrie Scholz on health care advocacy - doesn't get any more relevant than that! Thank you, PP Bill Conole for arranging.
Two things of immediate importance to the entire Club:
  • Club Leadership Positions - In December there will be several board seats and chair positions open - we need members willing to step up. Please consider serving and self-identify to a current board member that you are interested.
  • Christmas Fundraiser -  The Christmas Fundraiser is fast approaching - if you have a donation or an obligation in support of this effort, please be mindful of the deadline and work with one of the committee members to help this event go smoothly.
FUNDRAISER PRIZES NEEDED. ... by David Piper
The organizing committee for the Skaneateles Rotary Club annual Christmas fundraiser needs door prizes to ensure that at least 50% of attendees receive a prize. As always , local merchants and professionals are being solicited for prizes, but the committee  needs more prizes to meet its goal. All Rotarians (attendees and those that can't attend ) are asked to provide a door prize  (bottle of wine, gift card, etc).
To enable the commitee to obtain an advanced count of prizes, all donors are being asked to email  Dave Piper(piper97j@yahoo.com) or Roy MacDonald (skantown@gmail.com) ASAP indicating what they plan to donate..
All prizes should be  brought to the Country Club when you arrive  at  the event,or delivered  before the event to the Country Club (any time after 3:30). Dave and Roy will arrange them on tables at the entrance.to the dining room.

Reminder: Each table should designate a carver who should bring a knife, fork, apron and vinyl gloves
Annual Christmas Fund Raiser, December 1st
The Skaneateles Rotary Club’s annual Christmas fund raiser will be held on Thursday December 1st at the Skaneateles Country Club. We will begin with a happy hour at 6 PM followed by a family style turkey dinner at 7 PM. Tickets are $25.  Contact Amy Tormey at tormeyesl@verizon.net for reservations.
Don't Forget - the organizing committee needs our Rotarian's support in coming up with raffle prizes. The goal is to have at least 50% of attendees win a prize. While local merchants and professionals will be canvassed again this year for prize donations, all Rotarians are also asked to donate prizes such as a bottle of wine, a gift card, etc. Please let Roy McDonald or David Piper know in advance of the event what you will be bringing in the way of a prize. Even if you can’t attend the event, please contribute a raffle prize.
