LAST WEEK: .... by Bill Conole
Eleven Rotarians kicked back after dinner B enjoyed a delicious Christmastide dinner . The Sherwood Inn was filled with people relaxing from their final days of holiday shopping. Our members filled two tables. Both tables engaged in lively conversations.
Mary Retires - After dinner President ad hoc Bill saluted Mary Giroux on her retirement. For the past twenty years Mary has operated a very successful benefits business. Now Mary can relax & become our Club President.
Bell Ringers - John Moran reported that to date our Rotarian Bell Ringers have raised almost $1100 for the Salvation Army. Since Christmas falls on a weekend this year John projects that our Rotarian bell ringing may be slightly below previous years. John thanked all of our Rotary Club members for their diligent efforts this year to raise money for our most needy neighbors in greater Skaneateles & CNY. Bill added that our Annual Christmas Fund raising Dinner & our bell ringing for the Salvation Army are excellent example of Rotary serving our community.
Global Grant - After dinner there was a brief discussion on our proposed 2017 Rotary Global Grant.

50/50 - Out to rest for the evening  ... and the Queen of Spades still hides in the deck.
