Happy Father's Day ... by Ward
Tis a day to remember and honor our fathers, but also reminisce about the many joyful Skaneateles Rotary Pancake Breakfasts of the past.  I do not recall a Father's Day in Skaneateles, in the past 35 years, that I was not serving the community at our annual Pancake Breakfast.  Do I miss it?   YOU BET I DO!  Oh well, consider it a day off and we'll be back in full swing next year1
So to get my Father's Day Pancake Breakfast fix, I turned to our photo albums of the many breakfasts of the past.  You can join me in joy, by simply going to the Photo Albums on our website (left side, bottom of the club's Home page) and selecting a year to reminisce.  Or simply CLICK HERE for 2019 photos or CLICK HERE for the pictures of old (Airport days).   Enjoy!

PRESIDENTS' CORNER... by co-Pres., Mary
Nine fifteen a.m. Sunday morning, June 21. 22020........something doesn't feel quite right.  No line, no snippets of multiple conversations, no sound of Jack Emmer's voice hawking raffle tickets, no balloons, no pancakes, eggs or  sausages!  Even though our club is unable to come together today for what would have been our 52nd Father's Day Pancake Breakfast we've still been able to come together to help our community in these past few months.  So, a huge "Thank you!" to everyone for making it happen and next year we'll celebrate Father's Day with a better breakfast than ever!
See you on Thursday. Mary

Conversations with the Tower - As we start to think about travel again, these actual exchanges between pilot and control towers continue to tickle my funny side.  ... by Ward
Tower:  "Delta 351, you have traffic at 10 o'clock, 6 mile!"
Delta 315: "Give us another hint!  We have digital watches!"

ATC (Air Traffic Control ) attempting to locate a student aircraft on radar: "What was you last know position?"
Student Pilot: "When I was number one for takeoff"

San Jose Tower to DC-10 coming in a little hot; "American 751, make a hard right tun at the end of the runway, if you are able.  If you are not able, take the Guadeloupe exit off Highway 101, make a aright at the lights and return to the airport."
