Duck Dash - Ayhem updated us on the upcoming Duck Dash. Date: 9/30/23. He needs volunteers for setup/teardown, duck numbering, pizza and drinks will be provided during duck numbering. Drinks and duck numbering. Hmm…Ayhem also has duck dash tickets for sale. Many cool prizes to be had. Sell them to family, friends, and neighbors. If numbers are the same as last year, the club could make as much as $6000 from proceeds. Offline, Ayhem, Chad And Joe were brainstorming some creative ways to raise additional funds. Some might pass the 4 way test.
VFD Field Days - Bill offered thanks to those Rotarians who assisted at the VFD Field Days.
Next week - is a happy hour hosted by Robin & Connor back at the Legion.

Citizen of the Year - Oct 11th the Skaneateles Chamber is having a Citizens of the Year banquet. Our own Ayham & Jay are are being awarded with the DKN Inspire awards. The event is at the Lodge. Call the chamber if interested. (see notice & details below of CLICK HERE) Polio Eradiacation Day - Ward says 10/24 is polio eradication day.
Mbr date update - Ward asked members to double check their data on a listing he passed around.

The PROGRAM:
School Officials - Principal Carracio gave a brief state of the high school. In his second year as principal, he reports that the state of the high school is strong. Key is parental and community involvement. Many ongoing capital projects are happening. New/upgraded pavement, turf, classrooms. Chris' Viggiano’s is interested in a program that might do summer exchange programs… stay tuned. Lee knew Chis’s dad, who beat Lee regularly at racquetball at the Auburn Y..

Nina (right) from Zurich Switzerland is a sophomore. She's looking forward to being involved with the theater department. Nina enjoys the huge pancakes and chicken from her host family.Bella (center) is from Stockholm Sweden. A Junior, she's playing soccer and playing trumpet. She's looking forward to her public speaking class. Bella is not impressed with local pizza offerings.

Good luck to both and have a great year!!! We look forward to getting to know them.

September 30th from 3:00 to 5:00. There will be opportunities to help on September 30th as well as set up opportunities the week prior. And, tickets will be available to sell. This event directly benefits our club so that we can continue to support organizations locally and globally.
