THIS WEEK ..Thursday, Dec 08, 2016 @ 6:00 PM, The Sherwood Inc ..- Annual Skaneateles Rotary Club's Holiday Party with spouses and friends. (see below)
PRESIDENT'S CORNER ... by Prez Bill
This week saw the culmination of a lot of hard work by PP Peter Adams and the Christmas Fundraiser committee. I wish to thank and salute all concerned for their diligence and sense of urgency, as we had a late start due to some unexpected turnover. Not only was the lost ground made up, PP Adams put his business acumen to work and digitized the entire process. This will greatly ease next year's effort. Outstanding work - well done!
This coming week brings our own Club holiday soiree, with PP Cheryl Silvestrini coordinating. Thank you, Cheryl for working with the Sherwood to create an enjoyable evening for us all. I look forward to seeing everyone there. Be well.

LAST WEEK: .... by Bill Conole
Annual Christmas Dinner Fundraiser -  On Thursday evening December 1st 200 Skaneateles residents joined us for our Annual 2016 Christmas Fundraising Dinner. This year our Christmas Fundraising Dinner was deftly chaired by Peter Adams. Our 2016 Committee was made up of the following members: Chris Cheney, Bill Conole, Jack Hyatt, Robin Jowaisas, Roy MacDonald, Charley McElroy, John Moran, Chuck O'Neil, Dave Piper, Steve Schwartz, Amy Tormey, Duane Weaver, Dale Zabel, Ward Vullemot & Bill Huba. Our committee's hard work and the generosity of our members paid off by raising almost $10,000 for the Skaneateles Outreach Office, & the Skaneateles & Spafford Food Pantries.
President Bill Huba welcomed our 200 dinner guests to our gala event. After a delicious turkey dinner Bill Conole served as our MC & raffle meister. There were more than 140 prizes awarded to the happy raffle winners. Seasonal music was provided by Win Price. in keeping with our cherished annual tradition Roberta Williams led everyone in singing Silent Night.
Thanks to our committee & to everyone for making our 2016 Christmas Fundraising Dinner such a success.
