D7150 Changing of the Guard .... by Ward
The District Changing of the Guard was attended via Zoom by many across our district.  DG Cheryl spoke of the challenges and the remarkable resilience of Rotarians during the past year.  Cheryl passed the gavel and DG Pin to DGE Dana and thanked the many Rotarians and clubs for their outstanding accomplishments during this past Rotary year.  Two shout outs went to the Skaneateles club;  first to Bill Conole for his stellar performance as Area 7's AG over the past few years, and secondly, The Skantarian was recognized as one of the three outstanding newsletters of the year.  Dana spoke of the year to come and the exciting plans taking place.

District 7150 Guidance - Holding Rotary Club Meetings and Events starting July 1, 2021
*** This is not District Policy. It is suggestive and being offered to provide   guidance for conducting club meetings and events after July 1, 2021.
Here are General Principles from Rotary International regarding Meetings and Events:
  • The health and safety of all participants in Rotary programs, meetings, and events is very important.
  • All organizers of Rotary meetings and events shall fully comply with all health and safety rules in effect in that location.
  • No in-person Rotary meeting or event shall be mandatory for any participant who may feel uncomfortable attending because of the pandemic.
  • All organizers of Rotary meetings and events are strongly encouraged to consider all health concerns in deciding whether to hold in-person meetings.
  • Event and meeting organizers are encouraged to offer hybrid solutions.
Members should feel comfortable to wear masks and social distance while attending in-person meetings or events. Some might prefer not to hug or shake hands.
Further, it is a recommendation, not a requirement, that Rotarians do not attend meetings and events in-person if not vaccinated.
Here are additional resources:

Thank you for considering the safety of others as we do the good work of Rotary.
