Joe Benedict, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Participant - Karen Price to introduce our speaker. Karen enthusiastically introduced Skaneateles Central High School Junior, Joe Benedict. Karen praised him for his strong desire to serve others & for becoming Interact’s youngest president. Joe vividly described his week-end in the District 7150 RYLA Event held last month at Cazenovia College. The RYLA program guided young Interact participants on how bring people together & how to build teams. Joe said that the exercises & programs taught participants to recognize & to appreciate the varied gifts & skills people possess. The challenge is to harmoniously harness these gifts & skills so that everyone mutually benefits. Joe feels strongly that the RYLA program turned out to be extremely beneficial to all involved. Bill Conole pointed out how impressed he was that Joe contacted him to offer to present this stimulating program on RYLA.
