These “orphan books” need sponsors at $225 per pallet. That’s less than $.13/lb.
No lifting...no sorting…no packing. Just $! We’ll label each sponsored pallet with your club’s name.
Accomplish a meaningful international avenue of service project handled by Rotarians at every point. This is a terrific bargain and a great opportunity for your club.
Simple 3-step project:
1) Decide to help hundreds of kids learn
2) Write check for $225 made out to CNY Books for the World, Inc.
3) Mail check to: CNY Books for the World, Inc.

President Cheryl reminded everybody that our District Conference iis on April 29th &30th. As in years past our club will be donating a gift to the District House of Friendship table.
Ward Vuillemot presented Chuck Williams with an ornate "Paul Harris Wine Stopper for his ongoing contributions to the Rotary Foundation.
Cathy Powell introduced her friend & our evening's speaker Ralph Singh. Ralph is Chairman & CEO of Wisdom Thinkers Network. This network is a diverse group of acclaimed thought leaders in business, education, science, poverty alleviation, environment, community & religious organizations who believe stories have the power to change the world. Ralph briefly reviewed the approaches he uses with school children. When Ralph speaks to elementary school students he utilizes foundational stories that are embedded in school culture. These stories are internalized by students & impact their behavior. Skillfully employing these stories ultimately show up in decreased behavior incidents & improved scores. In middle school, the older students are able to use stories they had internalized as children as a lens/filter in critical thinking to interpret the world around them. The young adult students in high school want their studies to be relevant to their lives & to fell that they have an impact on the world around them. Ralph stressed that "re-weaving the fabric" ties the community together instilling pride & creating the link between community & school. Ralph is, without question, one of the most thought provoking & inspirational speakers we've heard in many year

OUR 2015-16 ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE
LONG TERM EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Outbound - The 2015-16 Rotary Youth Exchange Outbound students have departed for a year as exchange students abroad. Sofia Darovskikh, to Finland, and Zach Driscoll to Germany. We wish them all the best on their "adventure of a lifetime".
Inbound - student have moved to their third host families: Vincent , from France, hosted by Mike & Mary Hearn, and Daniela from Chile, hosted by Alice & Gerry Purdy.
SHORT TERM EXCHANGE PROGRAM (STEP)
Hope Glowacki has spent a few weeks in Sicily, Italy and her host sister, Irene returned with her to Skaneateles for a few weeks.
Adrianna Marshall traveled to Thuringia, Germany and his host sister, Constanze, returned to Skaneateles for an exchange.
