Happy Hour was Happy!
Craig and Barb Froelich were the gracious hosts of the August Happy Hour which took place at their lovely boathouse.  A number of members brought yummy munchies.  Pictures speak louder than words as evidenced here. Click on Graig's picture to access other pictures from the event.
LAST MEETING, Aug 15 …. by Mary Giroux
THE BEGINNING: Bill B led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed our guests, Dave Johnson (our speaker) and Charlie Smith (Marcellus Rotary).
ANNNOUNCEMENTS:
> Thank Yous:  Bill thanked Craig and Barbara Froelich for their warm hospitality in hosting the August Happy Hour.  It was enjoyed by all!  He then thanked everyone that helped pack up books for the library.  Over 200 boxes were packed and stacked....that's three boxes a minute!
> Fireman's Field Days:  Jack and Robin passed a signup sheet for hour long shifts on Sat, Aug 31 and Sun, Sept 1.  Shifts start at 12 noon and end at 8 PM.  We help the Legion by serving clams and corn.  The Legion and VFD help us at the Pancake Breakfast.
Summer Celebration:  Our last meeting at the Legion is August 29th.  We'll have a special dinner to celebrate a beautiful summer.  Watch your email for more information.
THE PROGRAM:  Dave Johnson from Owasco was our guest speaker.  Dave talked about the different types of EVs, why he likes EVs, pricing of used EVs, and what to look for in an EV.  Dave currently drives a Volvo rechargeable EV which he had on display for us.  He also talked about the concerns people may have with EVs such as battery degradation, charging range and repairs. It was quite an informative evening.  If you would like to learn more you can access Dave's presentation by clicking on the graphic above.
THE ENDING-Ayham thanked Robin and Ed for setting up our dinner, Will Pratt for creating our dinner and the Legion for hosting our club.  Ayham led us in the (Four + one) Five Way Test
