PRESIDENTS' CORNER ... by Pres., Mary Giroux
The rainy skies cleared in time for Thursday's meeting and the upcoming weekend.  Tara Lynne from the Chamber updated us on all of the Chamber's events and projects, specifically mentioning new signage that improves our village for merchants, residents and visitors.  Appreciation for Rotary support was also expressed by Tara.
It was nice to have some visitors, Kim Meyers, a fellow Rotarian from Vestal who has visited our club in the past and Chris Cheney's daughter and her friend from New Jersey.
Lots going on this weekend with the ACBS Boat Show and Polo for Preemies on Sunday topped off by a great weather forecast......enjoy!
ANNOUNCING - CLUB 200 FUND RAISER
200 Tickets at $20 each are be sold to members, friends & neighbors between now and October when 10 tickets (2 per week) will be drawn weekly with the winners receiving $100 each.  The winning tickets will be recycled into the draw-bin for drawings the following weeks.   So ..... multiple chances to win on a single ticket.
The whole event ends on Nov 16th, with two tickets will be drawn for $250 & $500.  The $200 draw dates are:  Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26 & Nov 2, and the $250 & $500 tickets will be drawn on Nov 16.
Cheryl Silvestrini will have the tickets for sale over August & September.   Do not miss out on this opprotrunity  as it is limited to 200 tickets.
This is fun way for our Club to raise up $2,750 to use for worthy causes throughout the year.  We can only make the maximum amount ($2750) if ALL 200 tickets are sold.  The key is for ALL members to participates in selling (and buying) tickets.
