PANCAKE BREAKFAST - SAVE THE DATE!.....

Believe it or not, the annual Father's Day Pancake Breakfast is only 10 weeks away! Father's Day this year is June 19th, so please mark that date in ink on your calendar, as well as Friday, June 17th AM and Saturday, June 18th AM for set-up, and Monday, June 20th AM afterwards for tear down. This year will mark our 48th consecutive year holding our Club's biggest fund raising event and we need every Rotarian to participate to insure its continued success! Our event has raised cumulatively over $500,000 since our first Breakfast in 1968, adjusted for inflation! So please schedule to be in town that weekend to help out at this "fun filled" community event! This service project, which supports many worthy causes, only works if every Rotarian makes a full commitment!

Marcellus School District has thousands of good books that they are packing. Perhaps up to 10 pallets!
These “orphan books” need sponsors at $225 per pallet. That’s less than $.13/lb.
No lifting...no sorting…no packing. Just $! We’ll label each sponsored pallet with your club’s name.
Accomplish a meaningful international avenue of service project handled by Rotarians at every point. This is a terrific bargain and a great opportunity for your club.
Simple 3-step project:
1) Decide to help hundreds of kids learn
2) Write check for $225 made out to CNY Books for the World, Inc.
3) Mail check to: CNY Books for the World, Inc.

---Before calling on three of our new members to give their "classification Talks" President Cheryl asked Bill Conole to briefly describe the history & format for classification talks. Chuck O'Neill also offered some insights on the history of these talks.
Mary Giroux, Cathy Powell & Doug Powell presented their "classification Talks" in accordance with the Rotary Classification Talk guidelines. Mary Giroux highlighted her career in benefits administration. She also spoke about her interesting hobbies of caring for alpacas & raising service dogs.
Cathy Powell described her nursing career from her initial training to her progression to becoming a nurse practitioner. Cathy raised two sons who are pursuing exciting careers.
Doug Powell talked about his CNY roots & his education in Le Moyne & the University of Buffalo Medical School. For more than thirty five years Doug practiced Medicine as an Ob Gyn specialists. A few years ago Doug pursued his interest in alternative medicine & studied acupuncture. Now that he has more time, Doug enjoys gardening & several other hobbies.

OUR 2015-16 ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE
LONG TERM EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Outbound - The 2015-16 Rotary Youth Exchange Outbound students have departed for a year as exchange students abroad. Sofia Darovskikh, to Finland, and Zach Driscoll to Germany. We wish them all the best on their "adventure of a lifetime".
Inbound - student have moved to their third host families: Vincent , from France, hosted by Mike & Mary Hearn, and Daniela from Chile, hosted by Alice & Gerry Purdy.
SHORT TERM EXCHANGE PROGRAM (STEP)
Hope Glowacki has spent a few weeks in Sicily, Italy and her host sister, Irene returned with her to Skaneateles for a few weeks.
Adrianna Marshall traveled to Thuringia, Germany and his host sister, Constanze, returned to Skaneateles for an exchange.
