LAST WEEK: .... by Bill Conole
Christmas Celebration - Fifty Rotarians, spouses & guests celebrated our annual club holiday party. A choral ensemble from SCHS serenaded us with Christmas Carols. Included in the ensemble were two of our three exchange students. President Bill welcomed everyone. Our appreciation goes out to PP Cheryl for arranging and managing the event.
Musical Entertainment - SCHS entertained us with choral seasonal music during and following dinner. Bill Conole joined the ensemble to sing Elvis's perennial Christmas hit Blue Christmas. To close the evening's festivities, Bill , Roberta Williams & our exchange student from Austria Ben Mitterlehner, sang Silent Night in German. Our thanks to Karen Price for arranging for the students to perform.

New Member Inducted - After dinner President Bill asked our club membership chair Amy Tormey to formally induct Gary Osminkowski into our club. Gay is an IT specialist & a longtime friend of his sponsor Ward Vuillemot. Amy asked Gary's wife Barbara & his club sponsor Ward to come forward & join Gary's induction ceremony. As part of the ceremony Amy presented Gary with a Skaneateles Rotary Club Plaque, a club t-shirt & hat & a Rotary Member Pin. At the ceremony's conclusion all of our members & guests rose to give a welcoming standing ovation to Gary Osminkowski, our newest club member.
