STATE STREET SCHOOL ANNUAL
HALLOWEEN PARTY & ZOMBIELAND

Mark your calendar for Halloween Night, Saturday, Oct. 31st.
Costume Judging with Cider & Donuts  At 6 pm our club's Rotarians will host the annual costume judging with cider and donuts for the children of our village.   Amy Tormey is looking for lots of volunteers to make this a memorable event.  She would like to have an idea of who is coming, so please drop her an email at:  tormeyesl@verizon.net or call her at: 559-1549.
Join Alice in Zombieland!!  Last year, a wonderful crew of Rotarians also helped with setup at Haunted Hallways ... beginning at about 3:15 (one hour is great ... and we could also keep you for more!!!  Any amount is good).  This involved helping to blanket the hallways and lockers with sturdy black plastic sheets ... and helping with some structural things as well as lighting before and while the kids start decorating. Set up is; Friday, 4-6 PM and Saturday, Noon -?.   A shout out to those of you who did it last year.  Can we have you back??  :)    Anyone willing to help, please contact Lori Ruhlman at loriruhlman@msn.com  (or 729-2831)  OR Karen Price at kprice@skanschools.org (729-1852).
If we have overflow volunteers at the Rotary event in the cafeteria and gym, we would always welcome Rotarians to help greet the masses in the lobby and at the front doors ... Our theme this year is: Alice in Zombieland!!!  fun stuff.  come dressed if you want.  :)
LAST WEEK: Club Assembly ... by Bill Conole
Cardinal Fan honors Clubs Fan -  In response to a friendly bet, President Bill, an avid St Louis Cardinal fan, opened the meeting by donning a Chicago Cubs cap given to him by John  Moran to celebrate the recent Cub victory in the playoffs.
President Bill reminded members of the following:
  1. Marcellus Pancake Breakfast on Sunday October 25th in the Marcellus Fire Department from 8AM to 12:30PM
  2. Rotary Leadership Institute RLI on Saturday October 24th in VVS High School
  3. CNY Veterans Day Dinner on Nov 11th at the Welch Allyn Lodge
  4. Rotary Christmas Dinner, December 3rd in the SCC.
  5. Pancake Breakfast Summary & Recognition - Outgoing Pancake Breakfast Chair reviewed the results of our 2015 Breakfast. Robin thanked the many club members & volunteers who worked so effectively to make this year’s breakfast the most successful breakfasts in recent memory. Robin cited this year’s increased advanced sales as a major factor in our successful outcome. This year we served almost 2,800 people. Heavy rains soaked our parking fields & held down our attendance a bit. Robin said this year, because of everybody pitching in, everything from the set-up to the take down went very smoothly. As a result this year’s net profit was a record $14,718. Robin pointed out that all of this money is promptly given to local food pantries & local charities. After Robin’s report President Bill presented Robin with a beautifully engraved commemorative clock from our club members and Jim McQuiggan presented Robin with a “ golden spatula” in honor of his 12 years of outstanding leadership as our club Pancake Breakfast Chair. . Robin received a standing ovation for a Job Well Done!
