Salvation Army Bell Ringers Thanks & Results
A great big Thanks to our many Rotarians, friends and family members who Rang the Bell for The Salvation Army at the Skaneateles TOPS Market these past few weeks. A good time greeting neighbors and friends, and most of all, satisfaction in contributing to the support of those in need in our community. Also, a large vote of thanks to John Moran and his team of Christmas Elfs for coordinating the project, one again this year.
The total contributions dropped in the bucket was $1,787.20 plus $490.16 (excess fund for the Christmas Fund Raiser, for at total of $2,277.39 to the Salvation Army this year.

END POLIO NOW - 2015 Update
When we look back on 2015, it may well be seen as the year the tide irreversibly turned on polio. Wild poliovirus is more geographically constrained than it has been at any point in recorded history. As of 10 December 2015, 66 wild poliovirus cases have been reported from the only two remaining polio endemic countries, Pakistan and Afghanistan, compared to the 324 cases found in nine countries during the same period in 2014. - See more at: http://www.polioeradication.org/
