Rotary Youth Exchange students say with three families while in Skaneateles: 3-4 months per family.
We have three great kids coming in August.
A 15-year-old boy from Spain; a 16-year-old girl from Denmark and a 17-year-old boy from Austria.
They have diverse interests and are described as delightful/joyful. All three are very excited about spending a year in America.

Spring Fling - Our annual Membership Event, aptly named our club's "Spring Fling" by our Membership Chair & host, Amy Tormey was held in the scenic Welch Allyn Lodge on Thursday evening May 19th. Prior to dinner everyone enjoyed cocktails,hors d' ouvers & conversation in the Lodge's spacious bar & reception room. During the reception musical entertainment was provided by the internationally acclaimed, world-class guitarist, Loren Barrigar. After welcoming everybody President Cheryl welcomed prospective members, guests & spouses John O'Sullivan recited a Rotary appropriate prayed reminding everyone that Rotary's core mission is "Service Above Self". Membership Chair, Amy Tormey presented a Rotary Cup to Loren Barrigar. The Lodges hearty buffet dinner was topped off by assorted cakes & desserts. About 10-12 prospective members had an opportunity to meet & informally discuss Rotary over dinner. After dinner many members & guests danced to Loren Barrigar's lively music. Our thanks to Amy Tormey for coordinating & hosting our fun filled "Spring Fling"

OUR 2015-16 ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE

LONG TERM EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Outbound - The 2015-16 Rotary Youth Exchange Outbound students have departed for a year as exchange students abroad. Sofia Darovskikh, to Finland, and Zach Driscoll to Germany. We wish them all the best on their "adventure of a lifetime".

Inbound - student have moved to their third host families: Vincent , from France, hosted by Mike & Mary Hearn, and Daniela from Chile, hosted by Alice & Gerry Purdy.

SHORT TERM EXCHANGE PROGRAM (STEP)

Hope Glowacki has spent a few weeks in Sicily, Italy and her host sister, Irene returned with her to Skaneateles for a few weeks.

Adrianna Marshall traveled to Thuringia, Germany and his host sister, Constanze, returned to Skaneateles for an exchange.
