Board of Directors Mtg notes ... by Mary Giroux  Your Board of Directors met on Nov 2nd.The following is a brief of the discussions and actions taken.Attendees: Jay Stith, Mary Giroux, Andy Stevens, Dave Lee, Doug Hill, Rosemary Mondo, Ayham Boucher and Mike Tierney Financials: Jay reviewed the Foundation financial. Foundation Treasurer responsibilities are being transitioned from Marv to Jay. Scholarship in Memory of Karen Price: An annual scholarship amount of $6500 and the procedure for granting scholarships was approved by the Board. The Board also approved donating 5% of proceeds from each of our major fundraisers to sustain the scholarship in future years. The process and continuation will be reviewed every three years. Holiday Basket Dinner: Planning is underway. Menu and price to be determined next week. Recruitment efforts: Pam Stern has been approved and induction is January 18th. Mike is following up with potential new members. Service Projects: Jay reported December's service projects to be the Holiday Basket dinner and bell ringing for the Salvation Army. January's project will be Winterfest. 2024-2025 Officers and Directors: Potential Officers and Directors need to be identified for the 2024-2025 Rotary Year. Three of the current Board members will be retained for another year and two new Board members are needed. Worthy Causes: The Board approved donations to the Finger Lakes Land Trust and SAVES. Also approved was 50% toward the Rotary ice sculpture for Winterfest. |

On Wednesday last week (Gary, Robin & Joyce, Marv, Mary, Andy and Ward) gathered at the Middle and State Street schools to glean unused books for the CNY Rotarian Books for the World project, which provid much needed educational and reading materials to children around our world. Pictured are; Marv, Andy & Gary palletizing the books for their first leg of their journey.
