Membership/Attendance  - 41 active members,  17 attending.
Guests -  Ellen Sorber and Reese Nesbit  from the Skaneateles Festival and Dylan and Katie Brown, future members.
The Meeting - Ayham opened the meeting by leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Ayham then welcomed back snowbird Cuck O'Neil.  Chuck was rather chagrinned upon his return to frosty temperatures and snowflakes in the air!!  Ayham also extended a warm welcome to our guest speakers, Ellen and Reese, and also to Katie and Dylan Brown, future club members.  Andy went over the Food Pantry drive details.  See article below.  Bill B had a couple of important announcements   He congratulated stoic club members who toughed out the CNY winter and faithfully attended club meetings this winter.  Bill then told us about a very special meeting coming up on May 4th. See the article above.
The Program-  Ayham introduced Ellen Sorber, Marketing and Digital Communications Manager of Skan Fest, and Reese Nesbit, Assistant Project Manager of Skan Fest.  Both Ellen and Reese enthusiastically gave us a preview of the upcoming season.  There will be 24 events from July 26th through August 19th featuring diverse music presented at the Presbyterian Church and Anyela's.  There will also be a free lecture series in four parts:  "Why Mozart".  You can be part of this great Skaneateles event by hosting a musician.  That comes with a special benefit, personal concerts!  Contact Skan Fest at 685-7418 if you are interested,
Remembering Karen  by Lori Ruhlman
A celebration of the life of Karen Price will be held at the Parish Hall at St. James’ Episcopal Church, 96 E.  Genesee Street, Skaneateles, on Sunday, May 21. Please join family and friends for a tribute that will begin at 3:30 p.m. with music, toasts and memories — and continue more casually to include appetizers, drinks and time to talk until 6 p.m.
We will remember her work in Rotary, and we will highlight our exchange program and the new Youth Exchange Scholarship established in her memory.
Spring into Action for Our Spring Food Drive!
Andy Stevens is hard at work organizing what has become an annual club event, a food drive that helps to fill the shelves at the Spafford and Skaneateles Food Pantries.  The Club began this event as a way to help during the pandemic and has continued the drive each year since.  On Saturday, April 29th you are asked to bring collected donations to Ed Evan's for sorting and delivery.  This is a great way to help our neighbors in need!  Thanks to Andy for organizing this service project.
Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary!

Dana Coye, Joe Bianculli and Chuck O'Neil are all celebrating another successful trip around the sun in May.  If you see them be sure to wish them a Happy Birthday!

Bill Buterbaugh, Lee Bennett, Duane Weaver, Jami Ciaccio, Marv Langley and Timer Whittingham are all celebrating their Rotary anniversary in May....... a total of 131 Rotary years of service!!!

Join us at the scenic 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel in Clayton, New York for the first conference including all three districts that are the future CNY Rotary. Make it a weekend getaway for the full experience or drive up Saturday morning for an overnight event. The weekend will include opportunities to learn new ways to serve our communities, great food and drink, and time to connect with one another. There are discounted packages for kids and teens, so bring the whole family. Be sure to register early for the best rate and contact the hotel directly to book your room.
We hope you will come out to get inspired, meet new people and have a lot of fun!
