Duck Dash Thank You! The Duck Dash was great success! Thanks to everyone that volunteered. There were lots of excited kids watching the ducks race down the creek and we had our very own Rotary Duck. Here is John Buterbaugh in costume with his Mom and Dad, Corinne and Bill.

Front Desk Duty!!!
Jamie Ciaccio and Jason Armijo are the scheduled front desk members for our next club meeting on October 15th. Remember that if you will not be able to attend the meeting you are scheduled for it is your responsibility to find a replacement.
Oct 1, 2026 Meeting
Brad Wilson opened the meeting by leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance. He then welcomed our guest Joelle Milea from the Samaritan Center.

- Next Meeting: Our next regular meeting will be on October 15th at The Sherwood. This is a Club Assembly so please make every effort to attend. We'll be discussing a number of important Club issues.
-October Happy Hour: A club favorite, Happy Hour on The Judge, returns this year on October 8th. Bring your spouse, a friend, your significant other and a prospective new member. Also bring an appetizer to share. The Judge will leave the dock at 5:30 sharp!
Our Speaker: Joelle Milea, Chief Development Officer for The Samaritan Center was introduced by Bill B who spends every Wednesday morning volunteering at the Samaritan Center. Joelle has been fundraising for 15 years and joined The Samaritan Center two years ago. The Center began over 40 years ago with 7 churches coming together to provide meals to those in need 365 days each year. In 2025 the center served 126,500 meals and that number has increased 18% in 2026. Meals are served to all, no questions asked. The Center also has a case management program to help with basic needs. Services are coordinated with outside agencies. The Center is totally funded by donations from the community. This is a great organization and our thanks goes out to Joelle, Mary Beth Frey (Director) and the 3,398 volunteers that worked at the Center in 2025. That includes our club and of course, Bill B.
President Lizzy Martin sent a message saying the main CNY Rotary Facebook page was shut down by Facebook so everything has been moved to a new group called CNY Rotary News Network. Please check out the new facebook page! This is where everything from the news network, leadership team, and events are shared.
