34 years, being a guest on ESPN and being recognized by the New York Times. Currently Mike also teaches at SU. Mike is originally from Tennessee and attended North Carolina State. He was recruited to cover SU basketball and the Big East Conference in 1989. Mike said that in addition to covering Jim Boeheim he has also covered a lot of interesting players noting that the team changes every year and the players themselves change every year. He said that it is great to watch the players as they mature throughout their time on the team. Mike answered a number of questions from members and lively conversation ensued.
