Last WEEK March 02, 2023 .... by Ed Membership/Attendance - 41 active members, 11 attending Missing due to mishaps: Ayham hit a deer on his way to the meeting. Oz spent the day at Upstate ER with his wife who had an accident in their home, which required stitches, a MRI and treatment for a broken nose. We wish Barb a quick recovery. Guests - Anna Finlay, Brad Littlefield, Corinne Buterbaugh, Ron Fay (speaker) with Troop 61 representatives; Kevin & Finn. The Meeting - President Ed called the meeting to order, welcomed our guests and club members, led us in the Pledge, the Four (five) Way Test. Heavenly Bed Project . Jay reported on the project. It was the largest production of beds they have ever had in one day. "They actually had to shut us down ......" The Program- Boy Scouts of America, Troop 61, Skaneateles ... presented by Ron Fay. Scoutmaster Ron and his two scout representatives did a great job supported by video  updating us on the activities of the troop and what being a Boy Scout has meant to them in becoming responsible young adults. Chuck Williams reminded Ron that he had him as a scout in his Troop back in the day and shared what scouting had meant to him when he went into the armed services. As part of his requirement for Eagle Scout Kevin gave a five minute presentation on what scouting has meant to him and the similarities of the guiding principles of the boy scouts and of rotary referencing the four way test specifically. A very well thought out and delivered presentation.  New Member Introduction - Bill Buterbaugh, supported by Ed, inducted Conner Finlay into Rotary with his wife Anna at his side. They made it an evening out as they had their 2.5 year old daughter at home with a babysitter. |
