THE ROTARY FOUNDATION GIVING UPDATE - To date, we are very making good progress.  We have achieved 48% of our Annual Giving goal set of $6100, and 38% of our Polio-Eradication $2,000 goal, for a total of $3,600 in contributions.
There are still 13 opportunities for gather 100 matching PHF points for your contributions of $100 or more.  These are going fast, so .... act quickly to gather these extra PHF points in your account.
Remember, the Rotary Foundation Changes and Saves Lives around the globe, and in our local communities.  Make your contribution checks out to The Rotary Foundation and send them to; Bill Buterbaugh, at 103 E. Genesee St., Skaneateles NY 13152.
LAST WEEK:  A Paul Harris Fellow was awarded to Ms Jill Newton.  Umesh introduced Jill’s family and many friends who joined us for dinner and for the PHF award ceremony. As part of the award presentation Pat Blackler, former Skaneateles Town Historian, reviewed some of Jill Newton’s many accomplishments. Pat praised Jill’s willingness to take the lead & serve as chairperson for many local fundraising boards. For several years Jill served as the Director of the Skaneateles Meals on Wheels Program. Currently Jill is the President of the Marcellus Skaneateles Art Guild. Through her many contributions to our community Jill is clearly living out the motto practiced by Rotarians and others;  Service Above Self.  President Cheryl noted that  Jill is a most worthy recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award. .... by Bill Conole
