LAST WEEK: A Paul Harris Fellow was awarded to Ms Jill Newton. Umesh introduced Jill’s family and many friends who joined us for dinner and for the PHF award ceremony. As part of the award presentation Pat Blackler, former Skaneateles Town Historian, reviewed some of Jill Newton’s many accomplishments. Pat praised Jill’s willingness to take the lead & serve as chairperson for many local fundraising boards. For several years Jill served as the Director of the Skaneateles Meals on Wheels Program. Currently Jill is the President of the Marcellus Skaneateles Art Guild. Through her many contributions to our community Jill is clearly living out the motto practiced by Rotarians and others; Service Above Self. President Cheryl noted that Jill is a most worthy recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award. .... by Bill Conole
